The gallery stable of artist and overall program are impressive and critically significant. Abattoir is the only Ohio art gallery to participate in world class contemporary art fairs. Keep up the great work and positive representation of the region.
a year agoI love going to Abattoir Gallery either for one of their art openings, or just to wander around the space and see what the latest show is. The owner and curator, Lisa Kurzner adds to the enjoyment by the breath of her knowledge that helps me understand and appreciate the works even more. Lisa has also helped me acquire pieces for my home. They are all from local artists, and I get so much enjoyment from them. This gallery shows REAL art by local and nationally recognized artists. It’s not the glitzy commercial ‘match-your-sofa’ art found in suburban strip malls. You have to work a little harder to get to Abattoir, but its worth it.
2 years agoWonderful gallery! Always really interesting shows with regional and world-class artists. Incredibly knowledgeable and engaging owners. In my opinion, the best gallery in Cleveland.
