Bad Medicine: Cleveland Cocktail Bar Guide

Just excellent! Love the rotational drink menu :) So far I've tried the Midwest margarita, the cut diamond, and the gold rush! That liquid jesus they put in is awesome. The food is also sooo good. The lamb sliders are very tasty, the fried ceasar salad also amazing, and the whipped cheddar was so good. I want to eat everything on the menu. It is pricey but the service, quality, and vibes are immaculate and I will go back again:) I love that the bartenders choose the music it is such a cool concept. It was super busy when we went on a Saturday evening, but we managed to get two bar seats. Not nearly as busy midweek.

Went late on a Saturday night for drinks, and the vibe was not at all what we were expecting. The lighting was dark and moody, but the music leaned heavily toward grunge/screamo and was so loud it was hard to have a conversation. Given the great reviews, it was pretty disappointing. Cocktails were well made, but the atmosphere just wasn’t for me, so I won’t be returning.

Fantastic place! The drinks and food were outstanding and the atmosphere cozy and chic. We had the shrimp and grits and polenta with mushrooms which were delicious. Our friend had the fried chicken sandwich and he said it was the best he’s ever had. Our server, Vanity, was perfect and took very good care of us. We got there at 5 and it was quiet but by 6 the place was busy and at no time did our service slow down. I found this place from a local publication that talked about cozy places in Cleveland. This is cozy for sure and so much more!

The lighting is very dark. After you are accommodated to the super chill atmosphere, you realize the bar has two turn tables built into it, and they are hooked up to a McIntosh stereo for you audiophiles out there. The bartender was spinning Alt-J, 21 Pilots, and Cake while I was there. There are no requests. The playlist is made before the shift. The drinks were not only strong but delicious! I didn't eat much because I have a gluten sensitivity. The menu had two gluten free options, and one of them were unavailable. My partner and I made a different dish gluten free to share. I think it's important to note I was here for the drinks. I cannot be a good judge of their food. The little I had was amazing, so I'm pretty sure the rest also was. The drinks were amazing, the atmosphere was really cool, and I wish I found this place sooner. The whole menu looked really good even though it seemed kind of small.

I was quite impressed with this place! It is very unassuming from the outside, right next to 2 churches and a used car shop. However, the vibe here is great-- they play some great music on vinyl and the mood here is so good. The drinks here are great-- there are the classics but there's some fun and inventive cocktails too. All seem to be well crafted and really balanced. What really makes this place stand out is the food-- the menu may be small, but so well curated. Everything is so delicious and flavorful. It is definitely pub food, but very elevated. Highly recommend!
