I am a member of the theater. This review is for the heart sellers. My wife is from Kazakhstan. She's been learning English and taking citizenship classes for the past three years. I thought I had a handle and my finger on the pulse of what she was going through as a person coming to this country. What I saw tonight is the true empathy for the experiences of people coming here. This play these actors, this director, touched our souls, on the subject of the impetus of immigrants reasons for coming, for staying, and for wanting to flee for their lives their existence in these United States.. I can't say enough about this production from the set design and its function right down to the pregnant pause in each soliloquy. . I brought a party of six and we were enthralled from start to finish. If you've never been out of this country, you will never understand. But if you've traveled and understand the plight of migration in the world, you will appreciate this play. You will appreciate The Dobama theater. You will ask yourself why am I not a member of this organization. Not every play is for everybody. But as a member not only can I uplift my community I uplift myself.
