Kimpton Schofield Hotel: Cleveland Hotel Guide

Great service for my family and friends. My mom felt like a queen. My husband and I absolutely loved the Van Gogh Suite. Marissa and the team were so easy to work with. Food was great at Bett's, and the valets were amazing. Our guests loved the wine tastings and morning coffee. Highly recommend if you're looking for a wedding hotel!

This hotel is fine but not great. Consider the following for your stay in Cleveland. Pros: Staff was friendly upon check-in, and at the restaurant, Betts. Stairs are central and encouraged. Cons: Rooms are showing wear and walls are very thin. I could hear people in both adjacent rooms. Gym is tiny for the size of the hotel and its focus on wellness. Morning coffee service was cold.

Had a really nice one night stay with my french bulldog. Had the van gogh suite. Really fun. It even had a guitar on the wall you could jam out with if you were musically inclined which I am not lol. But cool none the less. Great views from the room and two tvs along with ordering a burger from downstairs was just what I needed after a long drive. Staff were friendly and helped answer all my questions and even had treats for my dog. Lovely and cozy fire pit in the lobby which was nice to warm up next to. Valet parking is also a treat. Pretty nice hotel in a centrally located part of the city. It was great to have my pets in here, and I stayed in their apartment style room. It was amazing. I tried out Betts, their restaurant on the first floor, and the food was great. Gluten free and dairy free options. The room also had a personal gym and record player in it, with albums from the Black Keys and other famous artists. The only downside was parking, valet is over $50 but it is probably worth it looking back now. I looked for garages in the area, paid $35 and had to walk 3-5 blocks. Overall great first stay at a Kimpton!!

Black mold and terrible service. We planned a vacation to Cleveland for two nights. After the first night, my wife took a shower and she developed a severe respiratory issue. When I looked in the shower I noticed a large amount of black mold all over. Which explains my wife’s issue as she has a mold allergy. When I let the front desk know, they were more concerned with letting us know that our reservation is non-refundable than providing a solution. We ended up ending our trip a day early and heading home. They had said their manager would call us, however 3 days later and we haven’t heard from them.
