What Visitors Say
As a wedding photographer (Eighty Eight Photo) I absolutely recommend this amazing venue to anyone looking for an amazing experience. Mooreland Mansion is super welcoming and sets a really cool ambiance for every wedding we have had the pleasure of photographing there. From a photographic point-of-view, there are very few things anyone could ask for that aren’t already there: Historic architecture, open fields surrounded by soft shade, and a ton of space to work within. Having worked on their grounds many times over the years, I can’t say enough good things about Mooreland Mansion. Their staff is so easy to work with, fun to be around, and very helpful. The grounds are structured in such a way that every square foot feels purposeful, and the seamless flow makes for easily-created timelines and ensures that the logistics of wedding day feel effortless.
4 weeks agoMooreland Mansion is truly a hidden gem in Northeast Ohio! We celebrated our wedding there in September, and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful day. Our ceremony in the rose garden was absolutely stunning — the flowers were in full bloom and created the perfect romantic backdrop. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the terrace, and having our dance floor outdoors made the evening even more memorable. Stacey from Normandy Catering was an absolute dream to work with! She was our main contact for the venue, and I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about her. Wedding planning can be stressful, but Stacey made every step of the process fun, organized, and memorable. Her upbeat personality and sense of humor kept us smiling (and laughing!) through it all. We felt so supported and cared for, and she played such a huge part in making our day perfect. The mansion’s timeless charm and historic character provided a gorgeous setting and the most amazing photo opportunities. Our guests are still raving about how incredible the venue was. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to say “I do”!
5 months agoWe had our wedding here in July 2021 and I cannot say enough good things about Mooreland. We used the gardens for our engagement pictures and our wedding photos, and they are absolutely stunning. From its beautiful antiquated atmosphere to Normandy catering’s quality of food, everything was so lovely. The only reason I am writing a review two years later is because we are expecting our first child in July. I was hoping to take a few maternity photos in the gardens as well. It seems Kathy is no longer in charge of things, and the new manager is not as kind, and would not allow us to use the gardens for that purpose. I was hoping to be sentimental and have our love story unfold in the same place over the years, but this new manager, Tawny, won’t allow that to happen. I’m certain Kathy would have been able to accommodate after I explained the importance of the gardens. Just be aware that if you decide to have your wedding here, you likely won’t be allowed to return and reminisce over the good times. Very unfortunate. Photos by Kayla Duffin Photography.
2 years agoI had my wedding ceremony and reception at Mooreland this past weekend. Katie and Marie went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. I cannot say enough good things about how delicious the food is, how effective and courteous the staff is, and how beautiful the mansion is. For the money you spend, hosting any event at the Mooreland is an absolute steal.
8 years agoAbsolutely a beautiful place. We went to a wedding here and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the catering staff was amazing! Constantly checking in us and clearing plates. They were all making sure that we were aware of the different things going in such as the toasts and dances. The tables were all set up beautifully. Everything was perfectly in place. The staff was amazing and accommodating. My sin and I were able to take a self guided tour of the house and got to see some of the amazing history and artifacts of the place. My husband and I, as well as many other guests, toured the beautiful grounds. The only issue we had was, when we were leaving, we had a parking citation on our vehicle. My husband had actually parked, a little bit, on the yellow line. And we recived a citation for that. Other than that, we had a beautiful time here for the wedding.
