3 months agoCorrection: The previous company running the castle operations was not terminated/evicted from the castle, neither did they cause any damage whatsoever to the property. Truth be told, the owner of the castle had been extorting the company for thousands of dollars. In August of 2024, when the company did not agree to pay out an additional $15,000 (everything to the company’s name coincidentally), the owner proceeded to delete the Franklin Castle website (the company’s property—and some of the graphics which were stolen and still used to this day) as well as their emails. The company did their best winding down the castle operations, so they could avoid claiming bankruptcy, by way of owing customers tens of thousands of dollars in refunds. They gave notice to the castle owner and signed a separation agreement because continuing business under such duress was untenable. Their final departure on Valentine’s Day 2025 was punctuated with a call to the police from the castle owner claiming the members of the company were robbing the castle, as they were vacuuming and removing the last A/C unit paid for by their company. All in all, the castle owner received approximately 45% of the company’s revenue, including her property taxes paid, necessary repairs to keep the castle operational, utilities, rent and extortion fees. It’s extremely unsettling to see the castle owner still continuing to slander the company and its members (more than a year later) because a former customer praised them. Let it be known that Front Gate, LLC was proud to have served their customers, offering the city of Cleveland and beyond a unique experience to all interested and honored to have cultivated a memorable time for their patrons. Let it also be known Front Gate, LLC will not continue to endure such slander. An appropriate response is assuredly underway.
3 weeks agoFranklin Castle Stay the Night was amazing for all you horror movie, haunted vibes, all things spooky lovers out there! We had a tour guide Jens (pronounced Yens) who provided the best midnight tour where we learned so much about the historic castle and how it came to be. The room we stayed in was beautiful we had our own quarters like a living area, kitchenette, bathroom with a beautiful claw tub. The architecture of this place is outstanding. Stay here if you dare and write down your haunted experiences in the little notebook guest book provided in your quarters. I want to stay here again! I won't reveal all its' secrets
a year agoI recently went on the tour and history of the castle. It was really worth going the guide Bill, who also wrote a book on the castle was very informative told true stories and what we’re just myths. If you are interested in the castle, which I have been for 50 years, you Will learn a lot of Interesting facts I highly recommend going. It is really worth it.
a month agoI stayed overnight in Louise’s Dwelling for my birthday. This part of the castle spans the entire third floor. Built in the late 1880s by Hannes Tiedemann the suite features two private chambers, a large Reading Room, two bathrooms, and a Victorian kitchen with views overlooking the Rose Garden and Carriage House. True to Franklin Castle’s reputation as “the most haunted house in Ohio,” I heard the distinct coughing of an elderly man, unintelligible murmurs, doors opening, and footsteps echoing in the hallway despite being the only guests on that floor. Zac, the Event Coordinator, was my sole point of contact for check-in and was exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire process. He was communicative, provided house rules and our local food delivery options. He made me feel safe and well taken care of. Overall, Louise’s Dwelling delivers an unforgettable blend of Victorian elegance, genuine paranormal activity, and warm hospitality—highly recommended for anyone seeking a truly unique overnight experience.
