Street Art & Murals (2026)

The Waterloo Arts District in Collinwood has the highest density of murals per block in Cleveland. The St. Clair-Superior neighborhood features large-scale works on commercial buildings. Tremont has a mix of commissioned gallery-style murals and community-driven pieces. The Detroit Shoreway corridor hosts several prominent walls. Ohio City's murals tend to be more commercial but include some standout pieces.

Victor Mavilla (MAXX242) is one of Cleveland's most prolific street artists, with a bold, graphic style visible across dozens of walls. Erin Guido has created several large-scale, nature-inspired murals that have become neighborhood landmarks. Jasmine Nora Jones blends portraiture with pattern work. Many visiting artists have also left their mark through organized festivals, meaning you will find work by artists from across the country.

Waterloo Arts Fest, held annually in June, features live mural painting alongside music, food, and artisan vendors. Ingenuity Fest, Cleveland's art-and-technology festival, often includes live street art. Brite Winter incorporates visual art including murals and projections. These festivals have been the primary driver of new mural production in the city, leaving behind permanent works that outlast the events themselves.

Start in the Waterloo Arts District and walk Waterloo Road from East 156th to East 161st, where you will find a dozen or more murals. Drive to St. Clair-Superior for another cluster. Continue west to the 78th Street Studios area, where exterior walls feature rotating works. End in Tremont, walking along Professor Avenue and the side streets. The full route takes about three hours by car or a full day by bike.
