“I’ve been staying at the Courtyard Marriott for four weeks, while my mom has been in the UH hospital, and I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The staff has been incredibly helpful, supportive, and accommodating during a very stressful time for our family. They’ve gone above and beyond with anything we’ve needed and have been extremely understanding of the situation. The housekeeping team is amazing! Everything has been spotless, and it has made such a difference coming “home” to a clean, comfortable room each night. It has been so nice to be able to stay so close and not have to worry about the small things. A special shoutout to Christian at the front desk. He is truly top-notch! His kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help made a huge impact. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you have a loved one at UH and need a dependable, caring, and convenient place to stay.”

“Good location for conference I was attending. Room was larger than I expected. Service was exceptionally friendly! Only valet parking on site, they did mention an uncovered lot nearby though for reduced rates. Only problem I had was that the hot water took a VERY long time to turn on in the shower and water pressure was spotty. Other than that, very kind housekeeping and front desk staff. Also of note, where my room was - my window looked directly into the windows of the hospital next door.”

“I never anticipate this during my recent stay. I needed a 2pm late check out so I could do a conference call. Being a gold member, this was never an issue in the past else where. However, when I approached the front desk with the request, the front desk employee by the name of Teresa Diamond got extremely condescending and aggressive. She told me she could only do 1:00pm. Take it or leave it. I asked if she could let me stay till 2. She got aggressive with her arms crossed in front of her chest and told me that late checkouts were at her discretion. Pressed for a reason, she flatly lied by saying because the hotel was full. It was not full! When I checked on line, there were plenty of rooms available. At that point, she decided she was done with me. So with her crossed arms, she said, “have a good day” and stopped talking to me. Next morning, the hotel general manager happened to be at the front desk. So I approached him with the same request. Needless to say, he gladly granted my wish. No questions asked. Here is my advice. For the general manager, make sure you have people that understand basic hospitality and treat customers with respect. If you don’t, you will eventually kill this business. For potential guests, if you value sanity and dignity, think twice before you decide to stay at this property. Someone like Teresa Diamond could easily ruin your day.”
