La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cleveland Airport West: Cleveland Hotel Guide

“As soon as you walk in you can feel how yuck the air is. And soon enough you start to feel sick. The closer you get to the pool, the stronger the urine scent is. The pool is gross and cloudy. No signs of filtration at all. Water is standing The hot tub is not working and has dirty standing water with sediment at the bottom. The ground surrounding the pool needs tending to. This entire place needs tending to. The tub fills with water as you’re trying to shower- which shows lack of maintenance. The room carpet wasn’t vacuumed. Thank goodness we could open our room window, the air quality in that hotel made us sick. This hotel is not being cared for. They are just running through guests with no real experience to offer. It’s just a place to stay. It’s gross and we should have slept in our cars compared. This hotel will be closed soon. It’s a mess and the owners do not care. The elevator opens at each floor, not the floor you press, again lack of maintenance. Imagine getting stuck in there, air quality shows in there as well. Or worse you plummet down. I don’t even want to list everything, there are wires freely hanging in stairwells as well. Just I promise, skip this place.”

“The hotel lobby is nice and clean. The room was fairly large with a comfortable bed. The bathroom however was not that great. It was tiny with the commode very close to the tub/shower. The shower curtain rod was on the verge of breaking away from the wall. The area around the tub was cracking quite a bit. It was clean but it needs a good update. The pool was being redone but that was fine. The breakfast is more of a Continental breakfast, with eggs, sausage, links, oatmeal, and a waffle maker without any batter and Cheerios. It did have orange juice and milk. I didn’t eat breakfast there but I observed the area. The man at check in and the man at checkout were both nice and helpful. The location is good with it being near a mall and restaurants. It was very quiet inside and outside of the hotel. It was my first time at a La Quinta. It was a good price for the quality.”

“YOU HAVE TO CALL AND SCHEDULE YOUR SHUTTLE! Its not a normal running service (like other hotels.) The maintenance guys (who I assume stop doing what they are doing) are who will be picking you up in a little mini van. They also don't guarantee a shuttle out for early mornings. They don't start until after 6:30 AM so that rules out any early morning flights. I had to book an Uber to make sure I got to the airport on time. For the pick up I had to wait nearly an hour. The guys are super nice so its definitely not thier fault this place is run down but it would be nice if they updated the website stating the free shuttle doesn't run on a normal schedule. The lobby is not what you can expect in the rooms. The lobby looks fantastic compared to the rooms. If all you're doing is sleeping here bc of a 16 hour layover as I had, then for the price its a good deal. I definitely didn't even think of using the shower bc it was gross. As the saying goes "you get what you pay for" they also allow pets to stay in the rooms above the 1st floor (concerning bc the rooms have carpet above the 1st floor.) A lady with 2 dogs stayed on the same floor as I did. Best thing about this place is the location. The mall is across the street and several restaurants all within walking distance. I was traveling on my own so I could handle the semi not spotless room but I definitely wouldn't expect my friends or my mother to stay here with me.”
