“Stayed here for a short work trip recently. Staff members were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was standard offerings, however Candy, who sets up breakfast was not standard. She was so sweet and friendly and clearly prided herself in her work. I am an early bird and breakfast was always ready to go at 6:30am sharp and the food was always arranged with care. She would always say good morning and ask how my stay was going showing genuine concern. I hope management will recognize her efforts as it is not every day that you see someone who is so kind and intentional in putting genuine care into their work.”

“The room blew me away how nice it was. Candy was terrific at breakfast. She certainly goes above and beyond to make sure all of her guests are happy and satisfied. Very friendly and conversational. Candy deserves a raise and a promotion! Im a former marriott employee and I hope you read this review out loud during the next GSS review meeting! If I were to ever be a GM I would offer her a blank check to join my team and build the staff from there. Its rare to have someone as passionate about their job and representing everything Marriott stands for. The front desk staff was friendly as well. Thanks for the great stay. I will be back!”

“What a pleasure it was staying at a holiday inn this weekend with the same group of parents and same group of kids. Nothing but compliments about well behaved kids and courteous parents from the awesome hotel staff. What a drastic change from two weeks ago at SpringHill. What a nightmare. I can confidently say it was the absolute worst hotel stay myself and my family have ever had. From the rude staff constantly using profanity and trying to intimidate children to the disgusting rooms we were forced to stay in as part of a play and stay hockey tournament. Not once between Thursday and Sunday was our room cleaned or restocked with towels or anything else. Sandra Dangerfield has lost complete control of this hotel. It is far from the Marriott standard I’m accustomed to. She backs up her awful night staff who constantly calls police over absolutely nothing. Seeing guests being threatened with eviction night after night was the most insane thing I’ve ever witnessed. The local police officers were actually quite nice. We all had some laughs during all of this craziness. The officers were kind enough to let us know, while body cams were turned off, that this happens all the time with this hotel and to avoid staying at this location. Unfortunately for Marriott as a whole, it has left an awful, lasting memory about the brand. Our stay was almost $900 Canadian, Sandra offered no compensation for our terrible stay. Beware of this location, it’s guaranteed to be a nightmare.”
