Clean Rooms, the pool and hot tub were accessible, clean throughout the hotel. Front desk staff are amazing, the manager on duty goes above and beyond for the guests, especially with the snow storm we endured during our stay. The King bed was super comfortable and the room had a nice cozy feel with the couch and coffee table. The water is nice and hot and the shower had great pressure. Room 300 is a nice set up. I'll be requesting it in the future.

Longest review ever. This is not a great hotel to stay at. I definitely recommend you to not to stay here. When I made the reservation I requested a ground floor room due to not being able to get on an elevator. When we checked in they put us on the 5th floor. Didn't complain because I did have access to the stairs. But walking to the room the whole 5th floor smelled of weed. I also noticed a lot of water damage on the ceiling, wallpaper peeling off the walls, stains in the carpet, get to the room and the room smells of weed also. Water damage on the ceiling, the bathroom was the world's smallest bathroom you couldn't get to the tub with the door to the bathroom being open, the shampoo, conditioner, bodywash and lotion that is usually the little travel size bottles is full size bottles hooked to the walls which would have been fine if they hadn't been empty. The next day when we left I figured housekeeping would have been in to refresh the room, like give fresh towels replace the coffee packets empty trash. That did not happen so I called down to the front desk and asked if I could get some sent to the room and was told I could come get it from the front desk myself. Normally I would not complain but I have worked in hotels and that is not how hospitality is supposed to work. When I did decide to walk down the 5 flights of stairs to get the stuff I was pleased that the younger man was friendly and helpful with getting my fresh supplies. I don't understand how this hotel is still open. The hotel was supposed to have a restaurant/bar area that served complimentary breakfast, then you pay for lunch and dinner. Was even given a little paper that had the times the different meals was served. Went down on the last day to get breakfast and the restaurant was apparently closed until the 15th and this was not mentioned at all when we checked in. Would have known sooner had we not left before breakfast was supposed to be served the day prior. There was tiny muffins and coffee at the desk which is fine but at least let paying customers know when they check in to the hotel instead of giving them a paper stating when the restaurant serves food. Stay clear of this place unless they completely remodel the place. And upgrade everything.

does not even deserve 1 star…. DO NOT STAY HERE. i booked 2 nights at Wyndham Independence, got my confirmation weeks ago, messages from the hotel leading up to the stay. I even messaged the hotel the day of my reservation confirming my stay and notifying that i will be checking in a bit later, and got a “sounds good, thanks” reply from them. After driving for 10 hours, when i show up at the hotel at 12:30 am, they tell me they are fully booked and they had a lot of walk ins so there are no rooms available. Then why confirm with me? why not let me know in advance?? why are they taking walkins when my room was booked weeks ago? what made it worse was the receptionist, her name is ICYSIS and she was no help. I was asking questions trying to get things sorted but she kept cutting me off with “i just work here i don’t have answers” and “i don’t know i’m new”. She eventually directed me to call her managers number and as i was waiting for the call, she was saying things to her colleague like “i need to get my nails done this week hehe” and “ugh i have 2 more shifts this week” which i found was very unprofessional given the situation. overall she had a really rude attitude and it was a terrible experience just talking to her at the front desk. Eventually they just told me they had no rooms DESPITE BOOKING WEEKS IN ADVANCE AND GETTING CONFIRMATION THE DAY OF. apparently booking a room at Wyndham Independence means nothing as they will give your room away to walkins anyways. So i was stranded at 1:30 am at this point and had to pay double the price at another hotel down the street for a last minute booking. Terrible terrible service.
