We visit often—and even order takeout—because nowhere else in Cleveland comes close to offering vegan and gluten-free dishes as flavorful and satisfying as those from Cleveland Vegan. We’ve tried other vegan restaurants, but none compare when it comes to taste, portion size, and value. The fried “chicken” sandwich and burrito are my personal favorites—especially if you add the poutine fries inside the sandwich. It’s an absolute flavor bomb! The Big Breakfast Sandwich is also delicious, though it could use just a touch more flavor to really make it pop. And if you’re craving pancakes, do yourself a favor and try the chocolate apple pecan stack—there’s truly nothing like it. To top it off, the staff are always warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Bonnie and Lianna, in particular, are wonderful—sweet, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. Cleveland Vegan is easily one of our favorite spots in the city.”
“I could not be more pleased with this spot. I’ve been here 3 times now in the past several months. Everything is incredible. Their overnight oats, grilled cheese (best veggie filled tomato soup I’ve ever had, arguably best tomato soup I’ve ever had) their slammer bowl, lentil patties, my partner loves their breakfast burrito and their cinnamon roll is out of this world. I enjoy the grounding environment and warm and generous staff, I’d love to work there if they’re hiring that’s how much I love it! Try it out and you won’t be disappointed :)”
“Visited for dinner with the wife on a Thursday night, I usually get the nachos which are pretty good but this time I got the seitan french dip, and wow - it was excellent, particularly the mushroom(?) broth. I also got the Tofu BBQ wings and those were really good as well. Great experience, friendly service, dining area can get loud but it’s usually manageable, highly recommend.”
