“Good service and sushi. Dry ice add to the atmosphere and a nice touch. Currently does not have a liquor license and the bar is closed. Hopefully granted soon. Good value and fried ice cream was yummy 😋.”
“Went her for New Years Eve with friends...8 of us total. After being seated we did have a wait. But being the holiday it was understandable. The drinks were good. I had the warm saki. I think it was called blossom. It was very good. Two in our party had the sushi for their meal. The rest of us had the hibachi dinner. Three had steak and chicken with fried rice and 3 had steak and shrimp. Along with your meal you get an option of mushrooms or shrimp. Two of us had the mushrooms. I am allergic to shrimp. The food was excellent and a lot of it. The only disappointment was after the cook served the chicken I asked when do we get the mushrooms. He seemed very annoyed as he had shrimp written for everyone. He annoyance made me feel very uncomfortable. This is why I gave 4 stars. But other than that we all had a very nice evening and had enough leftover for a second dinner. Oh and they had live music. It was two women and they were very good. Oh one more thing. They had a robot where you could get your picture taken. And the had glow sticks and party items.”
“We chose the Strongsville location for New Year’s Eve, but the evening was poorly managed from start to finish. Despite having an 8 PM reservation, we weren't seated until 8:30 PM. The lobby was overcrowded, and the party we were eventually seated with had already been waiting over an hour. The organization didn't improve once we were at the table. It took 20 minutes just to have our food orders taken after our drinks arrived. The delays were so significant that the other half of our hibachi table walked out before the chef even started. This left just two of us at a large grill, which completely deflated the experience. When our chef finally arrived—a full hour after we were seated—he admitted the restaurant was severely overbooked. The most frustrating part was being told we were on a "timer." After our food order was taken, we were informed we would have only 20 minutes to eat and vacate the table once the chef finished. Being rushed through a meal because the restaurant is running behind is unacceptable. It is a shame because the food was actually good, but the environment was too chaotic to enjoy it. New Year’s Eve is a night when guests rely on their reservations. Shinto’s decision to overbook resulted in a rushed, stressful experience that wasn't worth the cost. I reached out to management privately and never received a response.”
