Captiv8 Event Space: Cleveland Event Venue Guide

Would give this place no stars if i could. If you are coming here for the first time or to try out a club in Cleveland. Do not go here! Its always dead. They rip you off, right in your face and do not care. The shots are damn near a drop, and expensive for no reason. Messy. Bartenders not paying no mind but worried about men. This place reminded me of being back in high school. Not in a good way. This is the type of place you come to if you know the staff, almost like a kickback. Not a place to experience, socialize and have fun.

The Building itself is really dope great vibes, the owner is great and down to earth. However the security guard needs a new hobbie. He was absolutely rude to not only our TEAM but to many others we seen. Playing tough guy all night. Outside of him and his attitude we had a great night filming a live event in this venue.

Had 25th birthday celebration here last weekend. They are kind and very accommodating. DJ is fire. Very chill vibe no drama me and my friends danced all night long.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had during the Father's Day brunch. The event was advertised as a jazz and poetry gathering from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, for which I had purchased tickets online. Upon arrival at 12:50 PM, I found that the staff, particularly the barmaids, were not informed about the brunch service and were only taking drink orders. The ambiance was dim and uninviting, which detracted from the overall experience. The band did not arrive until 2:00 PM and proceeded to play R&B music rather than jazz, as was originally promised. Additionally, despite multiple complaints regarding the delay in receiving our food, we still had not been served. After speaking with several staff members, I eventually addressed my concerns with the owner, who explained that several employees had called off work and that adjustments were being made in light of these unforeseen circumstances. While I understand that such situations may occur, it would have been beneficial for the barmaids to be informed of the changes. When I inquired about a refund, the owner assured me that he would address the situation first and then proceed with the reimbursement. By this point, it was after 3:00 PM, and I again requested that our food be brought to the table. The owner eventually delivered the food with little regard for customer service, slamming it down on the table without an apology or acknowledgment of our long wait. The food itself was cold, with the exception of the grits. Unfortunately, as a black business woman myself and due to the poor quality of service and the unsatisfactory meal, I do not foresee myself returning to this establishment in the future.

REVIEW EDIT: ‼️terrible food alert‼️ So when I say I went to “Captiv8” and I asked for chicken and waffles and the menu said Chicken and waffles on a stick, I was skeptical and I asked the girl what does it look like and she describe kabobs with tenders and waffles on the side and waited 45 mins to get this....... And asked for wings for back up and that wasn’t even done right. ‼️Now disclaimer I tried to talk to the the “chef” cause the people at the bar was like he cool he will come out and talk to you but he literally came out and didn’t come to me at all, so sad to say it’s a black owned spot that doesn’t want to have quality food for its customer and a cook who doesn’t stand by their food is not okay with me.
