Really cool spot in an area with lots of great other museums. Lots to see here with an eclectic collection, from rotating collections and a historic house to a large collection of cars and place. Worth a visit if you're in the area, and with the orchestra, art museum, and botanical garden nearby you can plan a whole day just in this area. Note: their hours are weird, so check and plan in advance.
3 months agoExhibits are top notch. Very good variety of cars and a lot were Cleveland and Ohio based. Well worth the visit.
a week agoI really enjoyed seeing the cars in the Crawford Auto Museum section and reading about their history. If you are either a Cleveland fan and/or a car nerd, check out the map on the first floor of the locations of all the original auto manufacturers in greater Cleveland. Seriously cool. Plus, really enjoyed riding the original Euclid Beach Carousel and seeing its musical organ. ❤️
5 months agoThis museum was exquisitely precarious. The blend of historical pieces of art and automobiles made it a memorable date. There was also a Marygoround which the operator tried persuading me persistently to go on but nevertheless, he was nice. Very clean facility with more than just Cleveland history but a place where stories are in-captivated by surviving artifacts. They upkeep everything within the place to preserve and keep the items looking prestige. The staff didn’t bother me with any nonsense so if I could have, perhaps I would’ve given them a little good game on the rear if presented the opportunity for the quality service. I feel more knowledgeable about my home town city so thank you for everyone who put together such an exquisite presentation.
7 months agoWhen you're not from the area you don't expect Cleveland to impress. I certainly did not, and yet over the past two months I have found so many gems in this city it's difficult to not smile when I think about my time here. The Cleveland History Center was my most recent discovery today (5/2/25) and it is hands down just incredible. Sure they have an amazing car collection. Sure they have some wonderful aircraft. They even have a lovingly restored carousel that you can ride! But the real treat is in the mansions attached to the museum. There, rotating galleries have impressively curated collections on everything from women's suffrage to dolls to WW2! All of it housed in a grandiose set of stately homes that are breathtaking to walk through. I met quite a few staff members and they were as helpful as they are dedicated to their work, and I hope to go back soon to see the new exhibits about to open. After I leave Cleveland I'll miss it, which is a phrase I never thought I'd hear myself say. (Slow clap) Well done Cleveland, well done.
