We went to Crooked River Adventures for my sister’s bachelorette party and had such an amazing time! Our group of 10 included a mix of experienced kayakers and total first-timers, and everyone had a blast. The owner was incredibly helpful and kept the energy high, hyping us up the entire time. Even with high water and a few downed trees, it only added to the ADVENTURE — and made it even more memorable! We were on the river for over 6 hours (granted, we didn’t paddle much — the current did most of the work and bumped us right along 😄). By the time we got off the water, we were starving, so we headed over to The Iron Horse Saloon for some warm food and cold drinks. Stacey was holding it down behind the bar and still gave our big group top-notch service. Her personality and smile were the cherry on top — it’s rare to find that kind of genuine hospitality these days! We’re already planning another trip back. Hands down one of my favorite places around — can’t recommend it enough! From the PINEAPPLE CREW 🍍

We had a great time! Seen some wildlife, turtles and ducks! We watched a blue heron dive in catch a fish and get out to eat it. It was a nice relaxing trip and we didn’t have to be back early like most other places. The staff was super friendly! All the bad reviews I read had me wondering but I experienced the exact opposite! Being able to have a few drinks and food when we got back was a major plus as well. Their pizza is amazing. 🥰 Great place I will definitely be returning to!

Overall this was a fun kayaking experience. One thing to note is that they charge you $10 extra to bring a bag on the kayak and they charge a fee for credit cards so the $36 charge (what the website quotes as the fee) really turned into $49. The site also says it’s a 2-4 hour paddle which I’m not sure how you could take that long. We barely paddled (did a lot of just floating) and were done in 95 min. We had a great time with the views (sadly we didn’t see any wildlife) and we really enjoyed being outside. Overall it’s worth it, just wish there were more details on the website about all the fees.

We took this trip in July 2025 with a group of five. It cost $36 per person, and while the float itself was calm and relaxing, several aspects didn’t live up to expectations. First, the length of the trip was noticeably shorter than advertised. Their website mentions a 6-mile route that should take 2–4 hours. The staff at check-in told us to expect 2–3 hours. However, we completed the trip in just 1 hour and 40 minutes, and the river was moving slowly. We had multiple fitness trackers going, and all showed the distance to be only about 3 miles . Another downside, as other reviewers have also mentioned, was the surprise $10 charge to bring a bag. This was not mentioned on their website, and for a relatively short trip, it felt excessive. Like many others, we brought essentials — sunscreen, water, keys, and some money — and having to pay extra just to take those items along was frustrating. We've been on similar river trips elsewhere and have never encountered a fee like this. All in all, while the float itself was pleasant and peaceful, the shorter trip, cost for the trip, and fee for a bag are reasons I wouldn’t return.

I kayak regularly and this isn’t the first place I’d recommend. They charge you an extra $10 to bring a “carry on” aka a small cooler. It was $18 to transport your own personal kayak which is $10 most other places. Then we had another weird experience with a worker upon leaving that’s not worth writing about, but overall I will just launch myself in the future and not expect helpful service from this place.
