Firsthand View

We drove up from Louisville for a weekend trip and really enjoyed Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It’s an easy, relaxing park to visit scenic without feeling like you have to do a big hike to appreciate it. The highlight for us was the scenic train ride. It was the best part of the trip and a really nice way to take in the views without rushing around. If you’re going on a weekend, expect some crowds, but overall it’s a great quick getaway.

We went on North Pole Adventure and had a great time! It was so special. There were even wooded areas and mountains just like the Polar Express book. The volunteers were incredible and we were always busy--never bored. The North Pole was truly magical. Things to note: - The cars were heated but cold. Wear double socks! -One side of the train has more visibility to the North Pole than the other. Choose your seats wisely. Luckily we were on the ADA car, so there was a lot of room for people to see. -Thw concession stand at the station was crowded with not a lot of options. We hit Yours Truly for a very early dinner and we're very glad we did. -They have coloring pages for the kids, but no crayons. So you might want to bring crayons. We also brought our Polar Express book. -They cookie was just ok. -Santa goes around and talks to everybody.

Conflicted & Confused...Visited the Polar Express (Rockside Rd.).. online it said Hot Cocoa and reading of the Book and a Bell for believers but that wasn't the case! The gift shop was a tent with people everywhere Left side was snacks and Right was Gift Shop. More RailRoad gifts than Polar Express, disappointing (get there 30-45min early or lines prevent purchases!). Train ride was enjoyable, seating at a table in a dome was VERY NICE!! The entire ride was our "Elf" talking, questioning, and singing.. No Polar Express reading, No Hot Cocoa, No Bell for Believers! We did get a visit from Santa, a bagged Chocolate Chip Cookie, a Milk juice box, and the grandbaby was given a small Train whistle. I am very confused on this experience and I feel if your going to Charge good $$$ on a experience then give us that experience!! I will not be attending this ride again till things change to match the Title of the experience! I hope others that attend have LOWER expectations and are not so let down as I was!! Thankfully my grandbaby is only 19months and loved the train ride!!
