The drinks were really good. I got a Henny Drop. I ordered steak and eggs. The steak was a sirloin they list as a NY steak. The eggs were over-seasoned with salt and pepper. The potatoes were pre-made but you get what you pay for. The place was really nice and the atmosphere was amazing. The location isn't that great but it's worth a drink or two.

Boyfriend said he wanted visit due to word of mouth reviews. I then made a reservation as the website stated it’s strongly suggested. The day of something came up so I called to reschedule said reservation and received so much strife with the individual whom answered the phone. Still agreed to come at a later time. Again we decided we really wanted to cancel because of timing and also because of the conversation I had with the staff member over the phone regarding the reservation. I was told my card would be charged $20 per person when the website says $10 per person and also told I couldn’t change because they were packed to capacity. When I called back to cancel another staff member talked me into coming in when I said I would dispute the cancellation or no show charge. When I arrived and was seated I was satisfied with my table however the restaurant was NOT packed to capacity like they stated it would be over the phone. I was pressured into ordering cocktails by the waitress. Also they have a table time limit which is annoying because I felt rushed. They stated the dress code was casual however they let people in with tennis shoes on. The food was okay not as good as I thought it would be. Although the restaurant has nice artwork, ambiance , decor, and good music. But for a first time experience that was all over the place its a no for me I won’t be returning.

So I have been here one other time for my best friend’s birthday celebration. I chose this place again for my birthday because i could bet on great food with an environment to match. The thing that makes this experience so infuriating is the fact that there’s always this notion about being punctual due to capacity. The staff were weird about the fact that 6/8 of my reserved seats were filled. This is my second time coming and myself and my party are the only ones dining or at the bar. The host who seated us was also our server and bartender. She seemed overworked and exhausted to just give her some grace. Very rude the entire night. There was no birthday celebrations with our group drinks like my friend experienced last year. There were many occasions throughout the night where we had to ask several times for things that should have already been provided like straws or salted rims for margaritas. The only thing saving this trip for me was the fact that the food was great. Everything was as i remembered as far as food goes. Everyone enjoyed their plates and apps. I truly wish the service was better being that we all spent and tipped so much money.

Overall it’s an experience. My good friend from high school had her birthday dinner here and we had an amazing time. Nice atmosphere though I felt like the food was a little over priced. My drink was delicious but the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls were kind of salty but they were good though and my salmon was perfect. I think I’m one and done. Like if somebody invited me out again to come here then I would but I wouldn’t just come here on a regular. I still had a ball though!!

I really enjoyed my first time at Filter. From the ambiance with fresh flower centerpieces, to the mood lighting, decor and DJ to our service from Myra, to the food, I was not disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Myra was our server and she was so attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The food came out quickly and the mac and cheese is to DIE FOR! Overall, the food was amazing in flavor while being reasonable in price for nice sized portions. I recommend the cauliflower appetizer, the Caesar salad and the fried lobster tail with Mac and cheese. Did I mention how good the mac and cheese was??!! It’s delicious! Be mindful that there is a dress code. The restaurant sets the tone for a more upscale vibe and I was told I had to cover up because of my cleavage in my dress, that wasn’t a problem for me I closed my jacket. However, upon being seated there were guests dining in see through pants, crop tops, T shirts, sneakers, ripped jeans etc. everyone in there was not dressed more “appropriately.” A suggested area of improvement would be if the restaurant is geared toward a certain dress code (“smart casual” is what is listed on the site) Then the standards should be uniformed for all guests on what is acceptable or not, not just personal preference or opinion. Overall 10/10! I’ve already recommended Filter to friends and family. It’s a must try. I’ll definitely return back to try brunch and to get more Mac and cheese!
