I was out downtown Cleveland last night and stopped into Gillespie’s Map Room for the first time. It was exactly what I expected—in the best way. It truly feels like a neighborhood bar. The Irish flags, the Cleveland memorabilia on the walls, and the overall atmosphere make it warm, familiar, and welcoming. The bartender was informative and welcoming, which made the experience easy and comfortable. I had great conversation with a friend and genuinely enjoyed my time there. It’s a relaxed, unpretentious spot that feels very Cleveland. I’ll definitely be back
2 months agoGillespie’s Map Room was a fun time my buddy really enjoyed the pizza. Beer was cold. Atmosphere was fun on a Saturday got a couple spots at the bar was full and initially went downstairs but went back up for food and found a spot. Groups next to us were fun and interesting. Would check it out again.
a month agoMap Room in downtown Cleveland is an absolute gem. Whether you’re stopping in for happy hour or making a full night of it, this place never disappoints. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between laid-back and lively — cozy enough to relax, but energetic enough to feel like you’re out in the heart of the city. The drink selection is fantastic, especially if you’re into craft beers. They have a great variety on tap, and the staff really knows their stuff when it comes to recommendations. Everything feels thoughtfully curated rather than just thrown together. Service has always been friendly and quick, even when it’s busy. The bartenders are welcoming and make you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. It’s also conveniently located near my apartment, which makes it my go-to neighborhood spot downtown. If you’re in the area and looking for good vibes, solid drinks, and a true Cleveland feel, Map Room is definitely worth checking out. I’ll keep coming back.
3 weeks agoPepperoni pizza with jalapeños and a touch of honey!! Wow, delicious!! 😋 Come try this pizza!! The place is very nice, the service is good, and the music is great. We loved it!!!
7 months agoA great spot for any sporting event or pregame weekend festivities. Pizza and chicago dogs are amazing, classic bar grub that doesn't miss anytime you order. Prices are decent and atmosphere has always been pretty decent. It gets pretty crowded with yuppies, can be hard to get a seat/table depending on when you come.
