Halloran Skating Rink: Cleveland Ice Skating Rink Guide

I've had lots of good experiences as this rink. My son and I can attend a stick and puck together with little planning and for free! They have adult only skate options which is also nice. I would suggest not going on sunny or "warmer" winter days though, as the direct sun can melt the ice. On days like that there is evidence of ice melting and refreezing in raised puddle shapes which makes it a challenging surface. Once again, for a free rink, it's hard to complain! The staff has always been welcoming and encourages us to come back for stick and pucks. I will post their schedule where it states that they recommend gear but it is my understanding that they require children in full gear and not just a helmet and gloves.

I've been there so many time, and every time had a great time. I like that they have training carts. Also they give free ice skating and hokey lessons. They provide all hokey gear for free, for rental. My son was playing hokey for 2 seasons there, and the couches were very nice. It is $1 for skating if you have your own skates. The place is amazing! But they're only open on freezing cold days, since it's outdoor skating place.

This ice rink is the best place ever in my opinion. I grew up sating on their ice.I have been going to halloran since I was 7 years old, a few years ago my old email was hacked and a spam review was created, I would like to say the statement posted was completely false. The ice skating programs ,shows and staff have always been and will forever be amazing. The price to skate is unbeatable and the facility its self is well kept and organized. I recommend visiting halloran every winter season and even during the summer for roller skating.

Only gave this 2 stars because it’s $1 to rent skates and 25 cents if you have your own. The ice rink is filled with a bunch of kids who are rude and don’t care at all for anyone else skating there. Some will just be zipping around causing you to almost fall or they just don’t pay attention to where they’re skating. They also like to just get in little groups around the ice and just stand around which gets even more annoying. Horrible place for any adult to try to go skate as it’s filled with a bunch of annoying kids who come here after school.

Amazing place! This outdoor skating rink tucked into the westtown neighborhood is one of the best kept secrets in Cleveland. Ice skating in the winter, roller skating the rest of the year. Only 1$ to rent skates and .25 cents if you have your own, you can't beat it.
