House From A Christmas Story Museum: Cleveland Museum Guide

The house featured in the 1983 holiday classic A Christmas Story is located at 3159 W 11th St, Cleveland, OH 44109. The Victorian home has been restored to its appearance in the film and operates as a museum that is open to the public year-round. You can do a tour of the home and even rent the home overnight. It is a popular tourist destination. You can book tours here and even stay overnight! I highly recommend visiting if you love the movie.

I loved it! Every detail is awesome. Took some nice funny pics. Bought tickets online. There is a small museum based on the movie and a gift shop. Next to the house is Bumpus house which you can stay. Also in the Christmas Story "Bumpus House" you csn stay in the loft. Parking is absolutely challenging. Line forms outside keep in mind the weather. Nice place!

If you're a fan of the movie, it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Cleveland, but as a fan, I would still say it's not worth a special trip to see it. It's fun to see the house and the tour guide provided lots of extra information about the filming. All the props in the house are reproductions but there is also a museum across the street with original props. Of course, there is a gift shop that is completely over the top.

Tickets were about 20 dollars for a tour of the Christmas Story house (includes time to recreate scenes and take pictures) and a tour of the museum which has a lot of the original pieces from the movie. Our tour guide was funny and informative, and the gift shop was phenomenal (and not too pricey). Tours begin at certain times; you cannot enter without joining a tour, so be mindful of that and purchase tickets in advance!

Gift shop was awesome. Tour was pretty cool. My 10 year old enjoyed the interactive aspects of the tour, but kids may find the entire tour a little dry. Great place to visit while in the big Cleve.
