Any season is great for the park! Even when it’s 15 degrees! The frozen surface of Lake Erie is quite a sight to behold. Even saw a big coyote way out on the ice enjoying himself.

I have been here many times over the years with my dog and possums. I started off 2026 here for the annual Polar Plunge. It was a little chilly, and there was a lot of snow and ice near the shore... but a great way to bring in the new year! I can't wait for warmer weather so my dog can come swim with me.

This is a large park that has many trails and a large public beach with many amenities.
