Independence Travel: Cleveland Tour Agency Guide

Avoid this travel agency due to poor communication and customer service by Corrine. Poor and unprofessional from the moment we booked by her telling us to use handicap option in airport to avoid the lines (we repeatedly declined to abuse that as we are not handicapped) yet she booked that for our airline tickets. She booked during a “deal” but once arriving to the resort the deal was only valid if we listened to a time share conference. Did not provide all necessary information and documents required to leave the country and had to receive info from Denise less than 24 hours before travel. No email prior to or after our trip to check in and answer any questions. Use another agency or you might get screwed with your booking/flights/hotel deals.

Denise at Independence Travel is amazing! I've worked her a few times for normal trips and also for complicated trips. I had to fly to meet my mom coming in from out of the country and then fly back with her to help her travel. Denise made the whole thing seamless and did it for free!! You have to call her and let her help.

I am so glad we found Denise She is the person to go to for any travel you are wanting to do. She is very efficient and knowledgeable having anything to do with your travel experience. If you have a problem while you are on your trip you csn xall her or text her abd she will take care of the issue

The worst customer service I have ever received in my life! The agent I was working with was Corrine Smith. I informed her that I did not know the name of the individual under the group booking that I was being a part of I was referred by a friend who was with in that group. I never received a receipt for my deposit I never received any information of when to make payments. I never received a booking number. I had to call the agency to get information when I did finally reach someone I was talked to like I was less than a human being. I finally decided to cancel with the travel agency and I booked directly with carnival upon been told by one of their agents that Corrine could transfer the deposit to my new booking with them. I’ve been given the runaround from Corrine and Carnival. The Corrine refuses to call carnival and transfer my credit to my new booking. I’v been told by Carnival’s agents 5 times that Corrine has to call the groups department, speak with a sales lead and confirm that I canceled with them and give confirmation to transfer that credit over. However this has been not done and I have followed up for the past two weeks! My next step is to take this to court because it’s fraudulent and negligence. This has been a nightmare!!! Don’t book with this agency save yourself the headache and stress.

Booked a cruise. Payment didn't go through for the crusie for some reason but payment for flights went through. Follow up calls didn't happen and consistently trying to contact Corinne didn't work. Would not recommend this to anyone.
