Kalahari Resorts & Conventions - Sandusky: Cleveland Hotel Guide

I was just here with my family over the weekend for the second time. My daughter does Irish dance and she competed at the feis. We really enjoy getting to come here. The water park is a ton of fun, although we do need to go during the summer sometime to experience all the cool things outdoors. The rooms have been nice both times and the rooms seem well insulated from the noise you might expect. We ate at B Lux the burger restaurant and the Mac and cheese restaurant while we were there. Food and service were great.

Checked in march 3rd around 11 after driving four hours for my birthday. Arrived and took off to the water park after some shopping. After the arcade and food we got back to our room around 10:30 where we found blood on the toilet and a sharp safety pin on the ground that was stepped on. Brought it to the managers attention who switched us (party of 2) to a two bedroom two bathroom suite. The room switch was good to get away from the blood, new room had wrappers, bottle caps and other small objects on the floor with crumbs on the fireplace. I expected it to be cleaned better… but no blood at least! Needless to say not very happy with the stay as I am not having to move all my belongings at 11pm, when I was hoping to be in bed. The new room was two hallways over which added on to moving all our belongings aswell. We contemplated leaving all together now that we had everything packed up. Not very satisfied spending $320 for the troubles of moving all of our stuff at 11pm and stepping on a Bobby pin on the floor. Cleaners need to inspect rooms better for the safety of the guests.

Kalahari in Sandusky Ohio is a great experience. Its a good sized waterpark with a variety of attractions which includes a couple kids areas. The restaurants inside are also worth the money and aren't too overpriced. After a long day of swimming, take a walk around the huge convention center for a peaceful end of the day or night. I live around the area and I love that ita close to cedar point and lake erie towns like port clinton. If youre from out of town and have the money, it would be ana amazing experience - especially for kids, to stay at kalahari and then head to cedar point for a double fun combo vacation.

I want to thank Kalahari for making my 5-year-old son's birthday the best it could be. Upon arrival, check in with great. My room was spotless and spacious, and we loved the housekeeping included during our three-day stay. The resort was within walking distance of everything. We love the fact that we can go from the waterpark to the arcade to a restaurant to laser tag, mini golf, you name it, we had a blast. I would love to give a shout-out to April, Carmen, and Dena at Café Mirage. Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping me wish my son a happy birthday and the popcorn and frozen dots. We will definitely be back in the summer.

Was skeptical about this place reading the reviews... But wow!! I was impressed! Super nice rooms, very helpful staff, outstanding water park with warm water and warm air temperature of park. The food is fantastic! Everything was clean, well kept, etc. we will be back again for longer!! This place is 10x better than any water park I've ever been to! Thanks Kalahari!!!
