Lake Erie Distillery: Cleveland Manufacturer Guide

This is a hidden gem in Willoughby! I couldn’t recommend visit them more. I went two weekends ago with a group of six. We each got to sample their products and get some delicious cocktails. My favorite was the burning river whiskey and the pickle vodka (it was amazing and I like pickles but don’t go out of my way to eat them often). The owners and staff were so friendly and very knowledgeable. I ended up getting the toasted marshmallow old fashioned it was so tasty! I can’t wait to go back in a few weeks and see what food trucks they’ll have this time I am there.

An awesome little distillery with truly quality liquors across the spectrum. Reasonably priced food too! Owners are friendly, will answer all your questions, and they're happy to let you sample. Definitely worth giving a shot.

Owners Fred and Cathy are the nicest folks you'll meet. The staff at the distillery is always super friendly as well. We recently bought a couple bottles of the new espresso vodka and it is hands down the best we've had. We love that they use real coffee beans and not artificial ingredients or extracts to make it. It really does make all the difference in making an awesome espresso martini! Looking forward to trying some of their other spirits as well!

We live about an hour away and just got our second visit in. The first time they were working on the back area with a bar. Today we got to see it (even though it has been there for about a year). One of our favorite vodkas (Dill) and the Jamaican Style Rum to go. Fortunately I have to make the drive for the rum or else I might overindulge. Today I also got to try the Junior whiskey. I generally consider myself a bit of a whiskey aficionado and was pleasantly surprised by Junior! The nose was strong and fruity like a fresh cut ripe apple, reminding me a bit of Glenfiddich and the pear nose. It definitely had an American whiskey flare, but quite smooth and easy drinking. If I lived closer I could see Junior being a daily drinker. Well done by Lake Erie Distillery! One of my favorite distillers.
