This is a great place to start a hike.The trails are well maintained and informative. Peninsula and the Cuyahoga River are very scenic.
3 months agoA nice area to access the Ohio-Erie canal trail. The parking lot is close to the restaurants in Peninsula.
5 months agoStarted from Boston Mill Visitor Center on a rainy Tuesday in October and ran the Buckeye Trail to Lock 29, going through the town of Peninsula, and then took the towpath back to my car. Nice trails all around, with good fall foliage. The locks have good description boards on them.
a year agoAwesome trail, went at the start of the great 2025 heat wave and I still had plenty of fun sweating bullets on my bike
8 months agoNice spot right on the river, with one picnic table. Easy walk to the lock, you can walk as far as you want on the trail.
