This is a nice park. Easy, flat hike (walk). I walked about 30 minutes out from the parking lot and then returned (about an hour total). The path does go on farther. There are a few interesting remnants of the locks as well as several educational signs. Good place for a walk if you are looking for something to do.
2 years agoI like this entrance and parking area, less crowded than the other parking areas on the canal way path. The lock is super cool to check out and witness technology from another era.

a year agoJust hard to believe that a ditch (aka the canal) was dug entirely by hand and animal from Lake Erie to the Ohio River. Wow!
