Sur La Table: Cleveland Furniture Store Guide

My husband and I did our first cooking class at Sur La Table today. We did a Paris themed class with Kevin as our instructor. We had an AMAZING time!! Kevin kept us on pace while allowing us time to try out techniques for ourselves, like how to dice with knives and using proper tools. We worked with a wonderful couple and had such wonderful food. Kevin shared such insight throughout the whole class. We highly recommend!

Did a cooking class this morning here with a friend, and it was absolutely amazing! Casey is a great chef and was very helpful throughout the entire class! We were so excited to make macarons. They even give you coffee or cappuccino for the morning class! It is a great experience to celebrate a special event!

Participated in the sushi making class with a friend tonight. The rice was made ahead of time, which was fine since it does take a while to cook rice. We learned how to make a cone shaped wrap, a sushi roll with tuna and spicy sauce, which was simple and delicious, and a sushi roll with the rice on the outside. The latter used tempura shrimp that we dredged ourselves and fried in oil, but it came out white, not crispy, and falling off the cooked shrimp. There was something wrong with the tempura batter, appearing to be a bad recipe. We were told we could practice as much as we wanted, but sushi is so filling that by the third roll everyone was stuffed. I did learn the technique more or less, which was the goal, and I had fun with my friend and other participants. The instructor, Nadia, was a lovely person and did her best to help us individually.

Nadia was great. So upbeat and organized. 3 great tips we'd never heard before as we went through the Thai menu - thank you!

We did a baking class of croissants. Nadia was excellent our second time with her. Her enthusiasm and expertise makes it easy to learn and a lot of fun
