The Wall of Whales - Cleveland, Ohio: Cleveland Park Guide

We stumbled across this while in town for the weekend. Drove by it and decided to stop anc check it out. Cool little area with tables to have a picnic if you want. Nice little view of the lake as well. Even if your just driving by it nice to see. The kids enjoyed it as well. They do need to touch it up a bit but it's still very realistic. If you stop here keep going west and enjoy the tour of the USS Cod. We'll worth it. Even got to see laby bugs.

Very happy it’s public. Very unhappy at how little land was acquired. Lakeside yacht club owns a completely unused sliver of rockwall on the northwest slab behind the whale itself. It would make a lot of sense if they sell or forfeit this land to the park. It’s a complete joke they’re able to claim this unfruitful land for their ventures. Those rocks belong to our hardworking forefathers and fisherman. The blood and sweat of longshoremen is stored here. Completely disgusting to see the chunk abandoned, when instead it could be transformed into a useful micro-pier forged on park land. The layout of the slabs offer a feasible template for fishing platforms/observation decking distanced safely far from the boat lane. Similar projects have taken root and I think it’s well overdue here to further benefit our park system.

Nice they have a little park there. Typical Cleveland though, so it's all overgrown and not maintained.
