Whipps Ledges: Cleveland Park Guide

Whipps is a long time family tradition going back 4+ generations. We love climbing in, through, and around the large rocks as well as watching the sun set on the top of the ledges. So much history and cool finds along the way if you look close at the rocks. Sight seeing is it's finest especially when the leaves are changing colors.

Really cool hike. Lots of caves, we had a great time exploring all the offshoot trails. There is a marked route but all the trails pretty much run next to each other. Hiked with a 5 & 7 year old and they had a blast! We parked at the top o ledges picnic area and it was a beautiful day and not overly crowded. Bathroom, pavilion and grills available.

Lovely little spot to climb or hike. Most routes are top rope or boulder, but there are a few trad gems to be found.

Wow! Beautiful but super rigorous climbing trails, very rocky steep and winding, not very clearly marked either. We started from stairs in parking lot and made our way up to top and enjoyed the beautiful hike. We had a difficult time finding way back down to parking lot. The trail was so poorly marked and very rugged. High level of climbing and scrambling required the route we took down.
