XYZ the Tavern: Cleveland American Restaurant Guide

I held my husband’s 40th birthday party in their private event room and could not have been happier with how it turned out! Harris was a delight to work with. He was responsive with all my questions, offered recommendations for food, and helped personalize our bar menu. He was also our host and bartender the night of the event, and ensured that everybody had a good time. The food was the best ever. We ordered less than the number of people we invited, and still sent our friends home with tons of leftovers. The room itself was the perfect place to party. There was plenty of seating and table space, a tv, a bar, a restroom, a porch, and a sound system where we could play our own music all night. I was allowed ample time to decorate the day of the event, and even when the party was over nobody felt rushed out. Thank you Harris, Chef, and staff for such a memorable night. I can’t wait for my next excuse to throw a party here.

I have absolutely no complaints about this place. We went on a whim. Upon walking into this place, you smell the it leads the way. We sat indoors since it was a bit cool, but the food would've heated us up quickly cause we dove in immediately! The pita chips that some with the spinach artichoke dip are AMAZING. Fresh! Crispy! They're the best I've ever had. The spinach artichoke dip was very chunky. Not the way i prefer it, but it was still good. The BBQ pulled pork was finely shredded. I get so tired of getting chunky pulled pork when I order it, so it was very nice to have it shredded to my liking. FYI, I did not ask that they do it. The sauce was so-so, but it didn't take away from it being good. The ribs literally melted in your mouth. They didn't give you that "fresh off the grill or smoker" kind of feel but still top-notch. My friend got the brisket & said it was by far the best she has ever had. The Cole slaw is homemade and delicious. Cole slaw is very subjective because everyone has their own take, but #winning. The fries were great. And they give a hefty amount of everything. The pizza looked amazing. It will definitely be ordered next time. Long story short, I will return.

Very nice server. Great prices on food. Nice place to relax. Definitely recommend. Got the broccoli cheddar soup and felt homey despite the cold weather. Girlfriend got the falafel and she loved it.

Thursday evening 5 p.m. dinners. My first time. Friend from out of town suggested we meet here. He's been here on previous occasions. Sat out on the patio. Very attentive service. Lots of choices on the menu. I enjoyed the Pulled Pork, Thursday special. Prices were very reasonable. Looks like a fun place to be later on in the evening. It was full of life at 5. I'd return to try other menu items.

You go in and seat you self and a sever is right there to get you what you need. Everyone is so friendly and the food is great! Weather you are going to brunch as a family or out with friends xyz is a great spot!
